41″ Musha Hand Forged Toyotomi Hideyoshi Golden Leaf Samurai Sword
This Musha Kotoku series katana features golden leaves on the tsuba. The tsuba is zinc alloy with a charcoal patina finish. The sharpened blade of this katana is made from 1045 high carbon steel to provide uncompromising functionality without compromising cost and it is double peg-mounted into the tsuka handle. Beneath the black cotton tsuka-ito wrapping are two wise dragon menuki over faux rayskin. The saya is finished in matte black featuring the family crest of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. It comes with a black cotton sageo. The sword and saya come within a black cloth sword bag. All Musha blades are razor sharp and ready to cut. Hand forged and full tang, qualities that budget minded swordsmen look for in a samurai sword.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi was a daimyo, warrior, general, and samurai during the Sengoku period of 16th century Japan. He succeeded Oda Nobunaga and brought an end to the warring lords period. Hideyoshi is famous for a number of legacies, including the restriction that only samurais could carry a sword.
