Bo/Staff 72″ x 22-30mm Red Wood Tapered

The tapered Bo Staff offers a lightweight version of a straight bo. The tapering means that the red hardwood bo staff is thinner at the ends than the center, making it light while still feeling solid in your hands.  This ability to be light enough for forms work and tough enough for partner work makes it popular with many martial artists. Traditionally the taper creates a smaller striking point which would produce more damage on your opponent.  Ideal for practice or demonstration many martial artists will love the tapered bo.

The tappered bo is made from Beech Hardwood which is a very strong hardwood with a tight grain which gives the wood a high shock resistance. This wood is ideal for wooden weapons to suit practitioners training needs.  They are a tough weapon and will take some impact for partner work and drills. Please be aware however that wood is not indestructible.  Wood can break so a real thumping could end up with a broken stick.  Be careful with your bo and it should last you for some time.  Any damage incurred through misuse of this item is the sole responsibility of the customer and will invalidate its warranty and returns policy.
